C. which requests a wire or other transfer of funds to any party, must be double verified.  The request and any corresponding instructions must be confirmed personally via telephone with attorney Lerman before the initiation of any wire or other transfer; only call this firm’s established telephone number, and verify you are speaking with only attorney Lerman.  It is the responsibility of any person wiring funds to evaluate and verify that the recipient is the intended and lawful recipient.  Hackers are targeting e-mails, websites, and communications of law firms and other businesses in attempts to initiate fraudulent wire or other transfer requests.  CONFIRM BY CALLING THE ORIGINATOR OF THE EMAIL, USING PREVIOUSLY KNOWN CONTACT INFORMATION, PRIOR TO WIRING OR OTHERWISE TRANSFERRING FUNDS.
